‘They Don’t Know’ brings together two of the Labels key members in Killa P and Fork And Knife to deliver an authentic modern day dubstep gem for the lead track of 1FGRM004. A system punishing sub and a back and forth lead that can only resemble heavy machinery, paired with the classic combination of Killa P’s ragga influenced Brixton accent on vocals is the recipe for a track that has the Outlook Festival aura written all over it.

A renowned MC in the Grime & Dubstep world. Killa P’s acclaimed for his unique patois style and hard lyrics. Killa became known as one of the UK’s prolific MCs while he was a member of one of the UK’s founding grime crews, Roll Deep. His style and flow led to commercial success and earned him a new generation of fans through his 2008 collaboration with The Bug on the seminal track ‘SKENG’. Fast forward a few years to 2016 where he released the biggest track of the year with Sir Spyro, Teddy Bruckshot & Lady Chann on Deep Medi along with other successful releases, including ‘Rate Us’ which was his 2nd Release under 1Forty on 1FGRM002. This will be his third and fourth track respectively as he is the first MC on the Label to come with a double header on a single release.

The man behind the production of this is fellow Londoner - Fork And Knife. Based in North East London has carved out a sound that pays homage to the underground scenes that have shaped him as a person over the past decade. More recently spreading his wings into Grime and Garage he’s applied techniques from producing different genres over the years with the result being unique structures with injections of sharp sound design using square wave basses and an often frantic yet stellar selection of drums. It’s not hard to see why his sound is so original with 10 years of production under his belt.

This is Fork And Knife’s first time appearing on a Genre Release after his debut single with the label ‘Real Monsters’ which gathered support from the likes of Toddla T on BBC Radio 1, and its follow up ‘Real Monsters VIP’ for the ‘2 Years Of 1Forty’ Release, the latter earlier this year in June. Like Killa P, the versatile producer is also contributing to not just one track on this release, as the long awaited link up with 9TRANE rears its head on the same tracklist.
