NLMT and Fallu make two perfect first time additions to the roster for this release delivering a classic bassline sound straight from the female vocal era reminiscent of the likes of Gemma Fox

When hearing NLMT’s music its not hard to work out where his influences lay nor where he comes from. The Bradford born 23 year old has been producing 13 years and has been looking to emulate TS7’s incredible journey from bedroom producer in West Yorkshire to the worlds biggest stages, after all they did go to the same school. Consistent releases across CruCast in the last 24 months have seen him go straight into the mix of the ever growing list of the labels successful artists that are thriving right now, playing regularly at the likes of BassFest and Distortion - arguably two of the biggest events in the Bassline scene currently dominating the UKs club scene, as well as a Warehouse Project date for the labels biggest event of the year to boot.

Having established regular support from Holy Goof and Notion as well as CruCast’s figureheads such as Skepsis, Darkzy and TS7 himself, it lead him to play on Darkzy and TS7’s respective tours and it also landed him a spot on Jamie Duggan and DJ Q’s Pure Bassline Anthems compilation CD which dominated album charts around Europe. Going forward NLMT is looking to make the most authentic music possible across the UK Bass spectrum with a multitude of diverse releases to look forward to in 2020 starting with a debut 1Forty release ‘Time’.

Fallu is an alternative R&B artist, incorporating elements of neo-soul and funk into her unique tones. After being told she was ‘too Northern’ for London drama school, Karla Farrar began her new endeavour as ‘Fallu’ in Manchester, emerging onto the local scene with her debut single ‘Eventually’ in May 2019. Since then she has performed at multiple events around the city, including her successful headline show at The Castle Hotel. In 2020, she releases her second single ‘Conversation’ revealing a raw, personal edge that is often hidden by her colourful, energetic exterior that is seen at her live shows. ‘Time’ sees 1Forty unearth another hidden gem in Fallu as this, her first venture into the underground sounds like she’s been here for years.
